The Batman movie trailer
DC unveiled a new trailer for The Batman movie on October 16 at DC Fandome 2021. The trailer previewed the Riddler’s wicked tendencies, showed more of the Joker-esque group, and hinted that the villain might be imprisoned right now.
The Batman release date: delays to 2022
The release date for Batman has altered a lot. It was formerly scheduled for October 1, 2021, however due to a slew of Warner Bros. delays, the release date has been pushed back to March 4, 2022.
The Batman cast
1. Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne / Batman:
A billionaire socialite who protects Gotham City as a masked vigilante. Batman is around 30 years old and is not yet an experienced crime fighter, as director Matt Reeves wanted to explore the character before he becomes “fully formed”.
2. Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle / Catwoman:
While hunting for her missing friend, a nightclub worker and cat burglar encounters Batman. Catwoman is a strange character with ambiguous goals, according to Kravitz, who previously portrayed the character in The Lego Batman Movie (2017). She and Batman are “partner[s] in crime,” according to Kravitz.
3. Paul Dano as Edward Nashton / Riddler:
A new serial killer who uses riddles to torment Batman and police enforcement. Reeves inspired The Batman’s Riddler on the Zodiac Killer, whom he considered to be the “real-life” Riddler due to his use of cyphers and riddles in communication.
4. Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon:
The first teaser trailer for The Batman was released on August 22, 2020, at DC FanDome 2020. It’s also dark, dreary, and emo. We can’t say much more than that, so we’ll just let the Batman movie trailer speak for itself.

Unfortunately, the trailer was released, and it was followed by a year of further lockdowns and bad news; but, with the coronavirus now safely behind us, we can look forward to a film that appears to convey a more grim Gotham tale, with a much more evil Caped Crusader to boot.

The Batman movie set photos
While we’ve seen Pattinson in the new bat-suit in the dark, a trio of set photos and a video of “Batman” falling down on his motorcycle, show us a lot more of the outfit. While we love the smaller “ears” the ribbed armor seems a bit over-designed.
To make things even more confusing, DC plans on entering its own multiverse with a trio of stars. Michael Keaton is set to reprise his role as Batman in the upcoming Flash film.
Andy Serkis has been confirmed to play Alfred Pennyworth, while Jeffrey Wright (Westworld, Angels in America) will play Bruce Wayne’s major ally, Commissioner Gordon. Barry Keoghan is on board as a Gotham City police officer, while Peter Sarsgaard is Gotham District Attorney Gil Colson.
