Plot
Vikram is an honorable police inspector who strives to catch the feared mobster Vedha. Upon Vedha’s submission, Vikram’s vision of good and evil begins to shift as Vedha tells him three stories.

Developments
In March of 2018, it was revealed that Pushkar–Gayathri would helm a Hindi version of their 2017 Tamil film Vikram Vedha, to be produced once again by YNOT Studios. Friday Filmworks, T-Series Films, and Reliance Entertainment are co-producers, and Neeraj Pandey is the creative producer. Pushkar–Gayathri wanted for the remake to keep the original film’s “grim” tone. Although Pandey had avoided remakes in the past due to his penchant for writing original material, he was interested in working on this project because to its parallels to Vikramaditya and Betal from the folktale collection Baital Pachisi, which he believed had not yet been done in Hindi cinema.
The production was initiated in October 2021 and concluded in June 2022.
Filming
When Aamir Khan was cast, principal photography was scheduled to commence in February 2021. After Roshan replaced him, the tour was scheduled to begin in June 2021, but it commenced on October 15, 2021, with the first stop in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE). A portion of the sets originally constructed for Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) were modified by Vikram Vedha’s crew to mimic Lucknow and Kanpur before the start of filming.
Reliance explained that UAE was “the only location providing the infrastructure for a bio-bubble that accommodated crew of such scale, also allowing building of sets in a studio during the preceding months of the shoot” and that the film was shot there because of “health and protocol concerns.” They noted that actors had little control over filming locations and cost selections. After the Abu Dhabi schedule concluded in 27 working days, the second schedule began in early December in Lucknow. Saif Ali Khan completed his responsibilities towards the end of the month. Apte, whose filming timeline was barely 10 days, completed the majority of her scenes by April 26, 2022.
The film is set for international theatrical release on September 30, 2022.
